Two Baltimore police officers were injured when they collided with each other while responding to help another officer early Wednesday.

The accident happened just after 1:45 a.m. after an officer called for help during a foot chase with a suspect that had fled a wrecked vehicle, WMAR-TV reports. When two other officers responded to the call for assistance, they crashed into one another, and the impact sent one cruiser into a light pole, while the other vehicle flipped on its side.

The officers were taken to the hospital, and their injuries weren't considered life-threatening. Both cruisers needed to be towed from the scene.

Although police didn't have any information about the fleeing suspect, Citizen App reported that the individual was apprehended.
